I have built out a new computer, just before my old one died. My old computer had a fairly decent PT3 database on it, with most of my online playing history. My new computer has a small amount of hand history.
I would like to know how to get the data off the old hard drive and onto the new computer's database. I have searched and looked for a clue as to how to get the data, or where the data lives, or in what format. it seems many people have had the same question without getting a straight answer.
For the moment I have my old eide hard drives hooked up to my new computer. I would like to get the data off the old hard drives so I can disconnect them. I am not familliar with postgere sql but I do know the old reg entires, data paths, etc are gone because the old hard drive has a different drive letter than the new one, plus the OS has a completely different install of postgere and a completely different registry.
Is there a how-to posted somewhere? I don't need an "easy" method, just "a" method. Some tips about how postgere works along the way wouldn't hurt because I'm curious. For starters, which directories to copy off my old hard drive so I can format it would be a great start.
Thanks,
roguephoenix
