No, it should take a little longer than that. Unfortunately, unless you had logging on and saved the PokerTracker.log file for that session, there's no way for me to determine what went wrong.

It seems like this is being reported by many people and it happened to me also so I think it's time to investigate what is going on and provide us with a fix.

Add me to this list.

I have PT3 running on two seperate computers and both had this very quick initial start up as well. They both have a Million+ hands in them and they each took only 2-3 seconds when PT3 first started up after this beta 15 update. If it was suppose to take longer due to the size of these DB's, then add me to the list of people that had a problem with the initial process PT3 beta 15 was suppose to go through at start up the first time.

Each time I updated to beta 15 (on each computer) the same thing happened. The startup PT3 screen flashed in and out a few times so I thought it was stuck or something. After flashing in and out for only about 2-3 seconds it said all was good. I was very surprised by the way my screen was as it was "updating" and very surprised it only took 2-3 seconds after expecting it to take a while based on the size of my DB's.

I re-imported all my hands and I still have hundreds of thousands of hands mislabeled.
I'll just waiting until the PT2 feature that let's you manually change it gets put in PT3, I have no problem waiting.

I don't have this problem anymore. Auto import and manual import both label 6max sessions correctly as long as "adjust [...] limits" is checked in the auto import tab.

The installation of beta 15 did not work for me. I followed all instructions, and the installation process appeared to run smoothly (i.e. telling me it's converting my db, don't use db resoucres, cluster/analyze when done, yada yada), but once I was finished and start up an import it tells me my database not configured correctly (in red type). Clearly it did not convert my SQL db correctly.

Unfortunately, I didn't (don't) have time to deal with these kinds of errors... I needed pt3 up and running for a session I was playing. The only way I was able to resolve the issue was export my PT3 db, uninstall pt3 and postgre 8.3, and then reinstall/import. Sorry I can't be of more help but reading this thread I didn't see anyone else w/ a similar problem.

My update was also suspiciously fast...

Also I have my stats set to "Show for everyone except hero", but since installing Beta 15 hero stats are showing up over my seat, and they're over all my hands, not just this session like they normally are (I have hero stats set up to appear separately in the corner and they're working fine and showing just this session's stats)

After some thought, I may know the trouble with my installation; i wasn't using the default password for the sql db.

rhud wrote:Thanks Thomas42 , that worked. What I had done originally was clicked to open PT3 and a box popped up saying a new version was available "here" and it gave the link to to download section , I clicked on it and then attempted to download the new version but ran into problems. I should have closed that box and not followed the link , then when PT3 was not running gone to the download page directly.
Thanks again

Always glad to help out fellow poker player.

It will get fixed, but since the change to the database isn't major, it's not an urgent issue.

If this happens again in the future, please enable logging, reproduce the problem and then attach the PokerTracker.log file to a support ticket along with a description of your problem.

Are you sure they were your stats? What site are you playing on? If PokerStars, are you using preferred seating? If Full Tilt, are you using auto-center? If yes to either, is PT3 automatically detecting your settings?

What are weighted averages? Weighted by what? (I know they are gone, but still...).
What features are not available when using "Best Hud Performance"?

It used to weight the averages based on how many hands someone at the table had.
So someone with a VP$IP of 10% with 1000 hands would completely overwhelm the averages, and a player with 70% VP$IP but only 50 hands wouldn't have much effect.
