Future of PT2

Postby sisnarf » Mon Aug 04, 2008 4:02 am

Will you keep making improvents to 2? I have purchased 3 and have been working with it for 2 months and I personally think its a piece of #$%^. None of the new features really interest me except the 3b stat. Which is actually realitively unimportant for 9max since 3 betting is situational. My point is I want to keep using PT2. I can place the stats excactly where I want and its not a cluttered mess. PT2 has been perfect till recently when I started playing 18 tables. It is slow and freezes. Going to make any updates?

Thanks

Only if there are changes to a site's hand histories that cause PT2 to not import hands anymore or some other serious bug without a workaround is found. And only for 6 months will this happen, after that, no more patches.

Well then hopefully in 6 months PT3 will have full support for tournaments/SnGs. That wold be the minimum I would expect from you.

Out of curiosity if in 6 months (when does that start from by the way?) PT3 still doesn't fully cover the current functionality of PT2, will the PT2 support time be extended?

I ask as a very satisfied PT2 user who is waiting until PT3 matures and covers the sites and functionality I need before upgrading. I am a bit worried that I will be left high and dry in 6 months (and HEM doesn't do what I would want in a tracker (yet?) either!)

I'm not going anywhere. Once PT3 is stable and works at the sites PT2 does then the 6 months will start.
