How can i change that port?

I have done this operation, but it didnt help.

Is this Vista you are using? Go to Start > All Programs > PostgreSQL 8.2 > pgAdmin III
Right-click on the red X near the top left of the window and select connect from the popup menu.
Enter your p/w - what happens? Does this give an error too?

This didnt help either;

Found solution on another thread:
Go to the c:\program files\postgresql\8.2\data folder. Is there a file called postmaster.pid there? If so, delete it and restart the computer and try it again. If it still fails, go to the Start menu and select Settings > Control Panel > Admin Tools > Services - find PostgreSQL in the list. Is it started? If not, try to start it. Does it give an error?

So, what to do next? is re-install only option? :(

What email did you use to buy PT2? I have no record of this email address.

Go to the Start menu and select Programs > PostgreSQL 8.2 > Configuration Files > edit pg_hba.conf

Go to the bottom of the file and copy/paste the last 12 or so lines into a reply here.

# Put your actual configuration here

# If you want to allow non-local connections, you need to add more
# "host" records. In that case you will also need to make PostgreSQL listen
# on a non-local interface via the listen_addresses configuration parameter,
# or via the -i or -h command line switches.
#

# TYPE DATABASE USER CIDR-ADDRESS METHOD

# IPv4 local connections:
host all all 127.0.0.1/32 trust
# IPv6 local connections:
#host all all ::1/128 trust

#host all all ::1/128 trust

Edit the file, remove the "#" from the start of the line above so it looks like:

host all all ::1/128 trust

Then save the file and try PT again.

Go to the Start > Programs > PostgreSQL 8.2 > pgAdmin III window.
Right click on the red X at the top left part of the window and select connect.
Enter your p/w when prompted.
What happens? Does it give an error?

Do you see the database called FULLTILTPOKER in the list of databases in pgAdmin?

If you do, open PT, go to the File > Maintain Database Names window. Click the Add button. Enter a description and in the last field select "Choose existing PostgreSQL database" from the list. Does this open a window of databases to select from? If so, select the FULLTILTPOKER database, on check the "Dflt" box then click OK to save all changes. THEN CLOSE AND REOPEN PT.
