I have, thanks, but when I read the features to be added in the next release (this one) when I asked my questions a week ago those two items were supposed to be included.
So having read the same blurb a week ago, what is the benefit to doing it again ? will you actually stick to it this time or will they be put back to a later release again ?
There is no way to speed this up. This is a PostgreSQL process which will be the same regardless if you were using PT3 or any other software that is using a PostgreSQL database.
I will accept your explanation on this as I am not an expert in the database field, however correct me if I am wrong, would the ability to selectivly export parts of the database allow the cluster, analyse & vacuum process to be carried out on just those selected parts of the database (rather than the whole thing) thus speeding up the process where I need it doing ?
That is far from the truth. In fact it was the exact opposite situation. We announced our beta testing and HM announced their launch a few hours later. In hind sight, we probably should've waited a little longer but it's much more difficult than that. We announced a May 15th release in advance and had to meet that release date. Once again, I suggest you read the State of PokerTracker thread. We'll get the issues resolved and exceed your expectations moving forward.
I will again accept your explanation that you beat HM by a few hours by saying you would release on May 15th. However why did you have to meet the release date with a sub standard piece of software ? It isn't more difficult than that, wait until the majority of features are included and most of the bugs are ironed out then release a class bit of kit that everyone is happy with. (sure there will always be bugs and we expect that, but come on, I consider the things I enquired about pretty standard items, not some obscure request, hell you even have the auto-rate stuff in the software in places....just not implemented) Also I can list several pieces of software from major companies that certainly did not meet the originally publicised release date, in fact missed the date by months in some cases.
I don't really need to re-read the 'state of poker tracker thread'...... I own poker tracker, I know the state of it.
If actually providing the features I paid for is 'exceeding my expectations moving forward' then I think we will agree to disagree on the terminology used.
I understand your points, but understand mine, I am not impressed with this release and if the next one is as lacking in features as this one we will have this discussion again.
