Custom HUD export/import

Postby KOSvenningsen » Fri Aug 29, 2008 4:51 am

Hey!

Is there any way to import/export a custom made layout for the PT3 hud?

If yes, are there any known sites, that have downloadable layouts?

Tnx in advance

I think they'll add this in the future, because it was an existing feature of PAHud and I definitely don't think it can take months (they have to store the config somewhere, so the import/export should not take that long), but I don't think it's possible at the moment.

Guys,

I spent a few hours today reading the HUD manual and having a go at creating a custom layout.

I couldn’t get over how easy it was in the end.

As for importing and exporting I don't believe this feature currently exists but you can get around it. The HUD layout file is called layouts.pt3 and resides in c:\program files\pokertracker 3\data\.

All you have to do is rename the original file and copy in the new one. You may have to restart PT3 afterwards.

I can verify this process works as I originally crated my custom HUD on my laptop and have now installed it on my main PC.

Any way below is a pic of my first attempt.
If it is of any use to you I am happy to post the file up. I have also provided a brief explanation of what each stat is.

Apologies for the meaningless data. I quickly logged on this afternoon just so I could take a screen shot hence I had hardly played a hand.

My HUD is in 2 separate sections (or groups as they are called in the HUD Menu), one for pre flop and the other for post flop.
Having them in 2 separate sections makes it easier to position them

Pre Flop
VP: = VPIP
PR: PFR
ATS: Attempt to Steal
3B: = 3Bet PF
FSB: = Fold SB to steal
FBB: Fold BB to steal

Post Flop
AF: Total AF
3BT: 3Bet Total
CB: = C Bet Flop
FC: = Fold to CBet
FTR: = Flop, Turn and river Aggression (I combined the 3 fields to look like one big one)
WS: = WTSD
W$: = W$SD

In the end you can choose which ever stat you want.

I hope this helps.

Yes, once the ability to make specific layouts for specific sites/table sizes/etc has been added you will be able to import/export layouts, but for now copy the file as SMACK says.

The next step for me will be to exploit the "Color Ranges" Tab in the HUD Menu.

Using this option I can make different stats change color in accordance with the type of player I am playing against.

I noticed in another post where "pooriver" had developed a custom stats expression. If its OK I would like to adopt those settings into my HUD which will HUD fields change color accordingly.

This should be fun :)

Sorry to revive an old thread, but I don't quite understand this:

I downloaded the "Cash HUD inspired by HEM" created by petter_1. Am I supposed to rename the original file name "cash_-_default.pt3hud" to "Layouts.pt3", and drag that file in, while removing the original "Layouts.pt3" file? Please elaborate.

No - this thread is really old and you don't need to replace the layouts.pt3 file anymore.

In PT3 go to the Hud editor - Configure > Configure Hud. Click the Options button and choose Import Profile. Browse to where you have saved the .pt3hud file and select it.

See the Tutorial: Managing HUD Profiles for more information.
