I also am getting the error message "The active database does not contain a populated cache"
I am running postgres 8.2 on windows XP

Desipte this error message the HUD, at least during a short test, seems to run fine. It is much faster to display stats and quicker overall than in b15.

Anyone that is having issues, please enable logging, reproduce the error message then send your PokerTracker.log file to us via the Support system and we should be able to resolve the issue on an individual case by case basis.

Best regards,

Initially, my attempts to update the cache were giving me a bunch of errors.

On the advice from support I did this:
Go Start->PostgreSQL->Configuration Files->Edit postgresql.conf
At the very bottom of this file add the following line:
zero_damaged_pages = on
File->Save. Then go Start->Programs->PostgreSQL->Reload Configurations.
This should resolve that issue. After the error has been resolved, it is recommended that you go back into your PostgreSQL config file and remove the line you just added.

I no longer obtained errors when updating the cache. I thought, problem solved -- cache updated with NO errors!!!!

But then when I left PT3 and came back in, a message popped up saying that I had to update my cache. So I did. Then I exited PT3 and came back in
and the same message came up. I have updated my cache several times with no errors, but it keeps on asking me to update it. I need to know if the message is erroneous or if the cache is still not actually updated.

Hi, I get the same error message, however when I go into the table, there is data sitting there. (I hope the HUD sees it)
In my case there are no tournament hands in my DB, so the message may come up because one table is empty.
When you split cash and tournament over DB's you may always get the message. (I'm just guessing here)

Cheers,

Peter

Hi, I just created a DB with both cash and tourney hands and it works fine. (i.e. no message that cache is empty)
Cheers, Peter

Good spot.
The others having problems, do you have just one type of game in your DB, cash OR tournaments but not both?

I only have cash game hands in my databases, is there some sql table or file or whatever to check that normally gets created if the cache update works?
