Password?

I try to open pokertracker, downloaded this postgre thing and all the fields are filled out besides password, do I need a password for it to connect?

You just missed me - it was 11.30pm friday night for me when you posted, give me a break! ;)

If you install a "PT3 with postgres" version it will handle all the postgres installation for you.
If you're on Vista and need to install it manually, follow the directions in this thread for the install: Total uninstall/reinstall of pt3

The default password is 'dbpass' (no quotes).

If that doesn't work, you can remove the need for postgres passwords: How To: Remove PostgreSQL Password

I also need some help with the installation of postgreSQL for the trial version, I tried the password dbpass and it doesn't work. I get the message "Unable to connect to this database. Please check the configuration" What to do?

Did you install "PT3 with postgres", or did you install postgres manually?
You NEED to have postgres installed before you can use PT3.
