PT3 w/o postgres cuz already had PT2

i installed pt3 w/o postgresql cuz i already had pt2 and i thought that was instructed but now cant get postgresql to install it says check configuration....im kind of a tard on the computer should i just uninstall and reinstall the pt3 version w/postgresql

im running windows xp just saw similar situation in forums can i just follow the uninstall reinstall instructions posted?

Did you actually have postgres installed for use with PT2? You wouldn't necessarily have to have it for PT2..

If you don't already have postgres, just download and install PT3 with postgres - there is no need to uninstall first.
