PT2 Upgrade to PT3

Hallo,

after I upraded my PT2 I tried to start it, because of I did lost my password I opened the file "pg_hba" and changed the last line "md5" to"trust" but nothing helped. I am a Vita-User and running all my progs as a "Admin". I have Postres SQL 8.0 and 8.2. I was a little confused and uninstalled Postres, I am not able anymore to open my old PT2 and I dont know how to fix this. I downloaded the new PT3 with SQL and nothing works now. I hope You can help me out...

PT2 and PT3 are completely independent and can be run side by side.

Please see this post for how to completely uninstall and reinstall postgres.
I would suggest using 8.2 if you are still using PT2 and PAH as well.
Total uninstall/reinstall of pt3
