I've taken this quote from the "how to" section and I have some questions on it:
"How do I synchronize my databases on 2 computers?
The simplest way to do this is to set up a shared folder and have both computers import the hand histories from it.
Whichever computer you are playing on should autoimport the hands, and then when you stop auto import the hand history files will be moved (see 'move processed files to' on auto import tab). You could then have the other computer import from that folder - Manual Import is faster, but you could use auto import and have that move the files to a 3rd folder for back up."
When you say, "setup a shared folder" what does that mean? Does that mean I set up a folder into which Pokerstars would download my handhistories? Or is it a folder that holds the data that is created by PT3 when PT3 imports and processes the data found in my Pokerstars HH folder? How do I set that up?
How would we have another computer import from that folder? Flash drive? If so, does that mean that I would have to keep a flash drive connected to my computer while I play poker and use PT3 if I wished to keep my 2 computers synchronized? Or do I connect the flash drive at the end and download that folder onto the flash drive?
"Manual Import is faster, but you could use auto import and have that move the files to a 3rd folder for back up." - How does this work? How would you set it up so that when you click auto import, the files would be moved to that shared folder?
