I'm horrible at the settings stuff. Keep getting:

SQLException: FATAL: password authentication failed for use "postgres"

What am I doing wrong?

The default password (if you let PT3 install postgres for you) is 'dbpass'.
If that doesn't work, and you don't know what the password is, you can remove the need for postgres passwords:

I'm getting this error :-(

I'm running on port 2339 so it might be that but can't see where to change the port in your program.

SQLException: Connection refused. Check that the hostname and port are correct and that the postmaster is accepting TCP/IP connections.
SQLState: 08004
VendorError: 0

On the Database -> Database Management window, when you create a new database you can change the port there.

I was asking where to change the port in your program! When you can setup the database in the program by changing the settings file why isn't it possible to apply a port number as well? It can't be that difficult to make that an option as well!

If I change the port in PT3 will it then not have any influence on my pstgresql settings? I'm not interested in making a new database so it's not possigle to edit the port!

If you want to change the port that the postgres service uses, you will have to do that in postgres.
How/why did you change it in the first place?

You should be able to change the port that PT3 attempts to connect to postgres over by editing the pokertracker.cfg file in the "C:\Program Files\PokerTracker 3 Alpha\Data\Config" folder.

I changed it because I had problems during the first inst. of PT3 and never changed it back. Don't mend what isn't broken so I'll just keep it like this and live without AllinCalc and instead look forward to the time where the functions have been implemented in PT3!

Postgres is a service independent of PT3, so I doubt you will ever be able to change the port that postgres uses from within PT3 - you will always need to reconfigure postgres if you want to change the port it is using; in the same way that if you want to use AllInCalc you will need to configure it to use the port that postgres is running on.
