Should IdleMiner be replacing TableTracker?

Postby adamdabadam » Thu Oct 30, 2008 5:25 am

I told a rep. of IdleMiner that the TableTracker with PT3 does the same thing. Keeps track of all HH and records them the same way IdleMiner does (not really knowing obv). So the question is, do we need IdleMiner? Heres what the rep said......
Hello,

Please investigate Table Tracker more thoroughly... it does not datamine hand histories.

What it does do:

It searches tables and players on a poker-site, then uses your database to rate those players, therefore rating a table. This has nothing to do with Table Tracker capturing hand histories... it does not. If you're unclear on this point still, you will find that Poker Tracker customer support will tell you the same information.

If you owned PT3 and TT well before you looked into Idleminer, then I don't understand how you were "tricked" into thinking anything... were you not already gathering HHs? Also, there is no "trickery" involved on our website... if you do believe this, please point out the "false advertising."

It would seem that you're current lack of understanding with how your software functions is currently causing frustration to the point of clouding your judgement... and I do believe you're quite overwhelmed and need to slow down and take baby steps with the process of learning how it all works together.

Take a look at PokerTracker's own Forum to get a better idea of what exactly Table Tracker does... and how and why other Poker Tracker members use Idleminer FullTilt. If you still think this is all "trickery"... write us back and I'll give you a full refund (this is not in your best interest as you will discover sooner or later).

Best Regards,

Idleminer Support

He's absolutely correct - TableTracker only uses hands that are in your database, it doesn't import hands or give you data from anywhere else, so if you want to datamine you will need IdleMiner (or some other similar application).

Anywhere to get a similar application for free? Or if not, heard of any freebies coming out soon? Thanks.

It depends what site you are playing at, but they mostly cost money - try a web-search and I'm sure you'll find plenty of options.
