Re: AllinCalc for PT3

I can't get this to work.
I modified the settings.txt so that i have "db_host = localhost:5432" (port checked from PT3 database management),
also checked db_name so that is also correct.
db_user is postgres like in PT3 and db_pwd is dbpass like it should.
screen name is also correct so what else there is to try?
This is what i get when running the .bat:

"SQLException: Connection refused. Check that the hostname and port are correct and that the postmaster is accepting TCP/IP connections.
SQLState: 08004
VendorError: 0
output.txt has been written.
"
Any suggestions?

db_host = localhost:5432
db_name = PT3 DB
db_user = postgres
db_pwd = dbpass
screenname = AllinLoser
filter_since = 2005-12-31
filter_until = none
filter_stake = none
filter_maxev = 1.0
filter_minev = 0.0
filter_site = none
debug_mode = 0

this look right? i dont get any error messages but it just sits there and doesnt run.

Did the same thing with my other computer and it worked fine. Guess it is some hardware issue then.

you dont need to add ":5432" at the end, since its the default port. but i doubt that this creates your problem.

SQLException: Connection refused. Check that the hostname and port are correct and that the postmaster is accepting TCP/IP connections.

this usually means what it says, either some setting is wrong or postgresql isnt accepting connections from "your host".

Ok so how do i fix the settings so it will accept connections from my host?

search for pg_hba.conf but usually it should be setup right to accept connections from local host so i dunno.

Hi when i try to use it i get this error message:

SQLException: FATAL: database "PokerTracker DB 01" does not exist
SQLState: 3D000
VendorError: 0

This is what i typed in:

-- AllinCalc for PT3 v0.94 --
db_host: localhost
db_name: PokerTracker DB 01
db_user: postgres
screenname: REMOVED
filter_since: 2005-12-31
filter_until: none
filter_stake: none
filter_maxev: 1.0
filter_minev: 0.0
filter_site: none

I removed the password requirement from SQL a while ago. What do i need to do to get it to work.

Also what do i type in to filter levels, is 100nl written as "100nl" or as "$1" or ".05/1"

And what do i type in to filter sites for party and full tilt

Thanks very much for the program

i guess you are using the "pretty name" of the database, not the real internal name which is usually shorter (both should be displayed in PT3 database management screen)

see readme file
