PT3 will not open for me

so randomly two weeks ago my PT3 started only opening like 35% of the time. I would do everything the same run it as administrator etc etc. when I open it pokertracker is shown as running under processes however it never opens up as an application so i cant import hands use hud anything. it says its running but its not.

well it got worse last week when it started working 10% of the time i had to keep closing it out using task manager and reopening the program. I emailed support a freaking week ago and no response whatsoever yet...Now it wont open at all in any shape or form im on my 42nd try. I am dieing for some help.

Please enable logging (Edit the C:\Program Files\PokerTracker 3\Data\Config\PokerTracker.cfg file, set Logging=Y, save and exit the file) and then attempt to restart PT3. The next time you get that freeze, please attach the C:\Program Files\PokerTracker 3\PokerTracker.log file to a support request and we'll look into what could be causing this for you.

I am trying to find where in the properties i can edit that and cant seem to locate it. if you could give me step by step what tab etc etc to go under to do so more step by step that would be great. I am not too computer literate.

thus far I have located the pokertracker.cfg file but cannot see where I can enable logging anywhere in the file.

You need to enter Logging=Y in the [General] section of the config file, like this:

[General]
Logging=Y

[Giffer]

I am having the same issue. There is no way to get beyond the config file to change anything as far as I can see.

What do you mean, exactly?
Are you able to open the config file?
Can you make the change?
Can you save the file?
If not - are you on Vista? You will need to open the file as an Administrator - I'm not sure how you do this in Vista; maybe you need to run Notepad as administrator then open the file from there..
