Do I have to buy PT3 twice?

I already have it installed on my laptop. I just bought a new computer and would like it on there as well. Do I have to buy PT3 twice? Also once I have PT on both my computer and laptop is there a way for my to import my stats into my newly installed PT on my computer?

You are allowed to use PT3 on 2 computers. I have it installed on 2 laptops (although I really only use one of them). If you want to move a PT3 license to a 3rd computer, uninstall it from one of the two it is currently installed on (while connected to the internet) before installing on the third.

There are several ways to move your PT3 database. I recently did this by saving a backup up the database using the PgAdmin tool. I forget where the instructions for how to do this are but they were fairly easy to follow. Essentially you make a backup of the DB on your old computer, copy this backup file to the new computer, install PT3 on the new computer then restore the new computer's PT3 database from the backup.

Someone else can post a pointer to the "backup/restore" instructions... (are these in the FAQ?)

Database Backup Instructions (they're in the postgres faq).

Funky is completely right on this one, though you'll also want to bring over the Layouts.pt3 file and StatsDefinitionsCustomized.pt3 and Buddies.cfg as those are your HUD layout, custom stats and buddy list, respectively.
