Sure, Equity is the portion of the pot that you expect to get. This is usually just your % to win but it also takes into account ties and it works for multiway pots too. I caluculate it using a third party free library I picked up on the web that does Poker Hand evaluation.

Download PokerStove and play with it a bit and you'll see what equity is all about.

Sorry I asked my question again and then I saw your reply. Thank you for your explanation of equty. With that information, I went through a number of calculations and mine agreed with yours; which is, of course, what one would expect (assuming that I knew how to do the calculations).

Hi, I just downloaded HLv0.9 and I'm getting a fatal error. This is the contents of the log file:

Exception: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
at HoldemLuck.PotFinderForm.FindNewPots() in C:\Projects\HoldemLuck\PotFinderForm.cs:line 32

yes, but then it died, saying that a fatal error had occured

yes, but then it died, saying that a fatal error had occured

I fixed the crash (will post new build later) but meanwhile, set your screen name like it asks.
