Thomas,

Could you please enable logging (Configure --> Options --> Logging Enabled should be checked, then restart PT3) and the next time you see this error please submit the C:\Program Files\PokerTracker 3\PokerTracker.log file to our support system before restarting PT3 and we'll look into this further.

Oki, done, here is the ticket. Took only three test starts for it to happen.

I also have two quite old tickets nothing seems to happen to. They are 36270 from October 13th and 40901 from November 23rd. Both are open waiting for comments...

Thanks.

Looked at your replies now and come up with a few more Q's..

I always import summaries for the tourneys I play on Stars. Are they saved in the db as well? If so, it should be possible to view them from within PT3, not just the list in the tourney editor as it could be wrong (see my ticket 40901). For example when I analyse other players I often want to know my finishing position in the tourney (mainly useful for S&G's). An it would be very nice to have a view Torunament Summary based on both the torunament or hand selected.

It would also be nice to see the old PT2 feature to show finishing positions for tournaments. Thus easily give me a list for for example $10 9 player S&G's and all my finishing positions, including percentages for each.

But if the summary is stored in the db, then it should be possible to reimport it so problems with for example Stars double or nothing S&G's can be fixed from the editor by just clicking reapply summary.

Also, there should also be an indicator that tells if I have done manually editing on a tournament. This is especially useful when I add re-buys or add-ons. If I then import the summary again, these values are rest to zero. Actually the PT3 summary import doesn't seem to be able to import re-buy/add-on information at all so it should therefore just leave my manually added ones alone even if I reimport the summary again.

If I have done manual editing of a toruney, then PT3 should ask me if I really want to reapply it, best would be if it even can show the entries I manually edited as well...

So, in my case I will have to go through all my old Stars S&G DoD tourneys manually and edit position 2-5 to 1 for each of them. There don't seem to be an option to multiselect players as can be done with tourneys, which of course would have speeded up things.

The tournament summaries are stored in PT3, yes, but if you import from email there is no "text" version. The results should be shown everywhere, though.
Aren't you seeing that?
Are you using beta 23?
If you're having trouble with tournament summaries in general please create a ticket about it - that should be working fine.

To re-import your double or nothings you would need to purge the tournaments and then reimport them.

You're right - import of add-ons and re-buys isn't implemented yet. This is on the list.
Please create a 'suggestion' ticket with your ideas about marking manual imports, etc., and I'll pass the ideas on to the development team.

I think that the double or nothing tournaments should import correctly now, but if they dont' please attach a hand history file and summary file to your ticket and I'll check it out.

Could you please update the "Development Timeline - Updated December 11, 2008" -thread? When is the next update coming?

I've reminded the development team to update that thread, so hopefully they'll get to it soon.

You mean the finish position in the tables? Yes, sure I see them.

What I am talking about is what PT2 had, where I could get a real overview of finishing positions. I filtered on the tourney type, then the report would show me how many times, as well as the percentage, I came 1st, 2nd,...9th or 10th.

This is very useful when I want a complete overview. The table columns just show position 1-3 and average.

The other one is when I am reviewing both my own play and others that I play against a lot. Then when I am looking at a particular hand or range of hands it would be good to be able to both see the finish list. Just clicking a button and the list will appear for the tournament that hand was played in.

More in this Feature Request.

Yes, I always try things in the latest version before...

Does all sites have add-on/re-buy info in their hand history or tourney summary?

I haven't played those for a long time now. However I couldn't find any Tourney Type option for them. Before they where imported as SnG (1 table) which completely screws up statistics as it then is mixed with the normal 9 player ones. What I did before was to change them to just SnG as that doesn't seem to be used on Stars. Its just a hack so a proper categorisation would be preferred.

I remember a discussion on the old site where Pat was talking about making Tourney Types configurable by the users. Haven't heard much more about it since though.

While these stats aren't built by default, they shouldn't be hard to build yourself in the custom stats interface. If you look at the 1st place stat in the Tournament Holdem Tournaments section, you'll see it's based on a very simple column; duplicate it to create cnt_finish_4, cnt_finish_5, etc for as many places as you'd like. You can create a percentage stat for how often you finish in a given position by putting the value of cnt_finish_x over cnt_tourneys.

Once you have the stats built, you can build a custom report to display the data as you see fit.

Well, yes. However it will be practically impossible. I play quite a lot of PokerStars 20 table SnG's, which would mean I have to 197 new columns just for this.

The practical way to do this is to use the "group by" in SQL directly. Then I would get a result containing all my finishing positions and how many times for each. Of course that doesn't tell me the percent though...

Then combined with a button on the General tab. I can then simply select one, several or all of the Player Summary listings and I will instantly get the summary.

One very practical use of this would be to see how I handle the bubble. With this stat (which does exist in PT2) I can quickly see if I need to analyse and change things if I go out on the bubble to often. For other players I have a lot of tourneys for it will quickly tell me if they go out early or late. The average finish position doesn't really tell much as a value of 4.5 over 10 tourneys could mean 5 won/5 9th or 5 4th/5 5th.
