postgresql wont start

ive cant open postgresql database using "start service" nor starting PT3.

It use to work but havent used it in a few months and now getting the above problem.

Ive switched off the firewall and anti-virus. ive re-installed postgres and installed the latest beta but nothing works.

Please help.

Please zip up and attach the 3 most recent files in C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\8.3\data\pg_log to a support ticket and we'll look into what could be causing this for you.

i was going to pre-empt that response.

I dont have any recent logs becasue its not even starting.
