email HH import

Hello,

I have a question about manual import -> import from email.

is it possible to import from email accounts like hotmail or gmail? What do i have to fill in the pop3 box?

You can use GMail: Here's a link to help you set up GMail's POP3 Settings.
I don't think hotmail uses pop3, though.

Hotmail does use POP3, but you need to pay for it as far as I know . . . so I'd say GMail is the way to go, as well

ok, i´ve done the gmail settings. But now what to fill in hte configure pop3 email server in PT3. I have just filled in www.gmail.com but still i get the timeout message, any tips for me=

You want to use pop.gmail.com with the use ssl box checked and port 995 and it should work.

one more thing, is it possible PT3 downloads only unopened email?

PT3 just grabs all e-mail in your inbox at this point. It may change in the future, but it wouldn't be for a while. The good news though is that PT3 can't import anything that isn't a summary anyway.

If it bothers you to have your normal e-mail downloaded in this fashion, you can always create a new email address and just use it for tournament summaries and poker sites and keep the inbox clean (forward yourself other emails you're interested in) and then there won't be any problem there either.
