I might be a moron

My DB was corrupt, or so I thought, so I opened up PG Admin and nuked the database. Then I clean uninstalled/reinstalled Postgres and PT3, assuming since I have all my HH's on my HD that I don't need to backup my corrupted database.

Now when I try to import it says "Fatal Exception during Import process: Unable to execute query: INSTERT INTO player VALUES (0,0 '[Split Pot]', '[Split Pot]', 0, 0, FALSE);;Reason: Fatal Error (ERROR: relation "player" does not exist)

When I click on the holdem tab I get this : Unable to execute query: SELECT id_player, id_site, player_name et al

Where did I go wrong?

Okay. Went into PT3 config file and deleted settings under DATABASE. PT3 now creates an initial databse. Will update

For some reason, a bunch of the summaries and HH's are coming up RED in import "Unable to load"

Also, even though this is a clean DB, I am getting virtual 1:1 ratio of duplicate hands ?.?

The reason I thought my DB was corrupt was because, inexplicably, many of the tournaments I had played in the past, which were imported correctly and had all their corresponding summaries, started showing me as placing in 7th place (out of 45) instead of first, seconds, thirds... This greatly skewed my results and graphs. It seemed to happen for no reason. I'm sorry this thread is rambled, I am importing right now. Any insight into any of these issues would be appreciated. I have all my HH and summaries from full tilt over the last month (which is all I want in my DB). My main goal is to ensure that I have a DB that is clean and correct and I will go through any measure of configuration to achieve this...

The import seems to have finished. However, many hands came up RED and could not be imported. This includes hands from 2 tables I am currently playing, although the other 2 I am playing have imported. In total I am missing data from about 500 tournaments, which I am sure I have all the HH's and TS's. Very strange indeed

Restarted PT3, updated cache, and it started finding more hands. Then this :

2009/03/01 14:12:32: Access violation (0) (Flags: 0; Address: 0x7759f897)(Line #2601)
2009/03/01 14:12:32: Fatal Exception during Auto-Import process: Access violation (0) (Flags: 16; Address: 0x7759f897)
2009/03/01 14:12:41: Fatal Exception during Auto-Import shutdown process: Access violation (0) (Flags: 0; Address: 0x006b8721)

and stop import

Something is definitely not working right; what version of PT3 are you running?

I'd also recommend in the future if you're going to delete a PT3 database entirely it's easier to do it in PT3: Database --> Database Management, click on the database, click Delete (this will work so long as you are using a registered version, anyway). That will delete the database and you can create a new one using the 'New' button.

I'm not sure what's wrong with the files you're trying to import but if you can zip up and attach a few of the ones that don't import properly for you to a support ticket we'll look into it and see whether it's something wrong with the files or wrong with your setup.

After closing and re-opening PT3 a few times, and starting and stopping import, all my hands ended up being imported, with only about 20 tournaments out of 1200 having errors. I am using Beta 25.1. So I'm not sure why I had all these errors, but after time, they seemed to be innocuous...
