Importing emailed hand history from Pokerstars is reversed

Postby berkz » Thu Mar 13, 2008 9:55 pm

Hi, here's a bug report.

[bht6]Bug:[/bht6]
I recently requested a complete hand history from Pokerstars and received it promptly, in several files weighin on about 157. MB. Pokertracker imported them fine although it took my 1200 mhz slave about 40 minutes. Now When I started a replay of the imported tournaments it started replaying from the last hand and then gradually worked itself towards the first hand. This is probably cause by the fact that when you receive hand history from Pokerstars via Email you get them in reverse order, i.e. the last hand you played first and so on.

[bht6]Expected behaviour:[/bht6]
I would have expected Pokertracker to replay the tournament in correct order. Start from first hand etc.

[bht6]To Reproduce:[/bht6]
1. Import a typical hand history from pokerstars received by email. EXAMPLE: [urlht6]http://raisejunkies.com/files/history.txt[/urlht6]
2. Choose imported tournament and start replay.

[bht6]Suggested solution:[/bht6]
I'm no programmer but I would suspect the hand history could be re-ordered before they are shot into the database in order of the "PokerStars Game #xxxxxxxxxxx" number.

Thx for a great app, Best Regards Berkz

ps. anxiously waiting for the mac version :)

PokerTracker plays back the hands in whatever order they are sorted in the 'Tournament Hands' window. Sort by Date to reverse the order then replay back and it should play back in the proper order :)

How, when and in what order the hands are imported into PokerTracker is not important.

Best regards,

Derek
