Huge postgresql

Postby sriver » Fri Mar 13, 2009 7:51 am

hi...
i have a question about the postgresql size of pokertracker
my pokertracker files have a size of 1.95 gb but my postgresql folder has a size of nearly 20(!) gb..
there are only files with numbers like 1249 etc. in it...
Do pokertracker need them or can i delete them???

Those files are your PT3 database. DO NOT delete them or you will lose your database.

The only files in the C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\ directory that are safe to delete are the files in:
C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\8.3\Data\pg_log. Those logs may be safely discarded. Everything else should be kept.

looks like like you save your imported HH in the PT3 folder.

Your saved hand histories are only needed if you want to restore at a later date. Their being around won't affect your overall database size; PT3 databases are large because they store an awful lot of data.
