[quote="Zorro"x5q]Where and how do you download this version ? I have the last version do I uninstall and lose all database hands and postgres.[/quotex5q]You always find the latest version at http://www.pokertracker3.com/products/PT3/download.php. You don't have to uninstall previous versions before installing the new ones, and if you do uninstall PT3 that won't uninstall postgres anyway. You won't lose your hands this time, but sometimes when there has been updates in the database schema you will need to reimport your hands for it to work.

A lot was said about faster run of PT3.

What about managable database size ...
What will be still managable database in your opinion ?

Thank you for your answer.

I don't know exactly what you mean by manageable database size. PT3 can handle databases with millions of hands with no problems, but naturally, databases with millions of hands are going to take some hard drive space.

That is a very difficult question to answer. It all depends on your computer.

We have had someone import over 23 million hands and say that it was still manageable.

I probably would not recommend more than 5-10M (upper end if you have a fast computer and a fast hard drive).

Best regards,

Derek

Yes that was what i meant, sorry for not being so clear.

I think Quad core cpu with 10.000RPM Raptors in raid 0 should do the job for a few tens of millions i guess :P

Thank for answer.

I like version 3 alot, it has a nice 'cleaner' look, and i really like the graphs function (no more need for poker grapher).

Nice things i would like to see in the final version:
- auto refresh general page when a hand has been auto imported (so no need for clicking refresh).
- and the function PT2 had, defaulting to 'today' as filter for the general page.

a small problem i run into, i got 'Automatically start with Auto-import' checked, but it doesnt start the auto-import at startup.

i do like the program, can't wait for the HUD and final release :)

What site are you playing on? PokerStars made a rather significant change to their client right after we released Beta 6 which broke PT3's ability to auto-detect PokerStars hand history directory. If you manually configure this directory in PT3, it will pick up PokerStars hands with the auto-import. (This will be resolved in the next beta).

I did set the correct HH-folder, and after i click Auto-import, the files are imported to PT3. (also the new files, so the directory monitoring is working)
But when the program starts, auto import has not been auto-started. (not even when i wait for pokerstars to create some HH-files)

Oh, you need to 'Begin' the auto-import every time that you want to start playing...it does not automatically start when you launch PT3.

Derek, details on this pls? I haven't had many complaints (but most of my script users will not auto-update anyway, and I haven't yet myself...

What did they do?
