Beta 28.1 broken

Postby Fidelio » Tue Jun 16, 2009 7:14 am

Hello,

I upgraded to Beta 28.1 this morning. Everything seemed fine. I played a session. Everything seemed fine, including the HUD. After the session, I wanted to check my stats and everything, and now. PT no longer works. Most stats remain stuck at "Populating..." For example, in the "General" tab, the player list appears and "Player Statistics" too, but not "Player Summary."

Thanks,

Fidelio

Try doing a full housekeeping on your database.

I did the database management. It finished without reporting errors, but when I tried to look at my stats, it hanged. I re-started it. Same results: hanged again. I ended up creating a new database and re-importing all of my hands. That seemed to work.

In conclusion, it seems I have found a bug.

Do you still have your old database around? Would you be willing to submit log files when it hangs with that database?

I do, but the hanging is not systematic, it seems. I just switched to the old database and it did not hang. It would not show data for most panes, though, instead loading indefinitely. When I switched back to my working database, it hanged (while it was switching).

I don't know where log files for that would be.

The log file we'd care most about for this problem is C:\Program Files\PokerTracker 3\PokerTracker.log - you need to have Logging Enabled though (Configure --> Options --> Logging Enabled should be checked, then restart PT3). You do need to send the file before closing and restarting PT3 though as the file will be overwritten then.
