Postby UberArtz » Sun Jun 21, 2009 9:28 am

Ok..so I was playing and suudenly PT3 starts doing some nasty sh....t. and HUD stoped working. I tryed everything I knew and eventualy I ended up exporting HH and deleting and reinstaling PT and PostgreS...and now after I manuly imported the files I previously exported I only have like 2000 ppl in my DB from 50.000 and all tournys I am beeing shown are shown in losses...I have -100% ROI.

I restored postgres from recyclin bin and I can't do anything else now...
I know I dumb cause I forgot to make a back up...And for some reason I think I to have the data but can't access it..since the DB folded is 2 Gb. I have win XP 64.
Any help?

Did you actually delete the C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\ directory?

It was on F:\ but it's the same thing I guess. And Yes I did :( But I managed in the past to export and import my hands..I think without a back up...but now..errors everywhere.

The data from your database is stored in the PostgreSQL directory (whether it's on your C drive or your F drive), and if you deleted it, you did delete your database. If it's still in the recycle bin, you can try stopping the PostgreSQL server, seeing if there's any directory there at all now and if there is, move it somewhere else temporarily and try restoring from the recycle bin. When you restart PostgreSQL you may be able to retrieve your data, though I wouldn't be too optimistic.

OK..so I am trying to do what you told me..but I'm not that good at these stuff.
So I used PG Admin and I can't to anything there until I connect to my DB. I'm not sure I know how to stop the server. And from where I cand restore it if it's still posible ? frop the folder "data"?

To stop/start the postgres service go to Start > Programs > Postgres > Stop/Start Service.
Yes, it's the 'data' folder you're after recovering, but as kraada said I think it's unlikely you'll get much back from it.
Have a look at this guide: How to reinstall Postgres.

Your better bet would be to re-import your old hand history files. You probably have them in the PokerTracker\Processed folder.

That sounds like you're not specifying the file properly; are you able to locate it and open it in notepad?

Ok...so after a long time....I got most of my DB. It's one single .TXT document with HH from FTP. I imported the file and have shit load of sng and MTT and they are all unfilled with the results. So every single one shows it to me as a lost one. How can I import the proper results without using AUTO FILL since I have tousand + maybe more...Also It seems that it does not recognize the tyoe of the tourny.... sng or mtt.

The tournament results should have exported, so you may want to look in the same directory for a text file with tournament results. If you can find it then import it that's the easiest fix.

If you can't, you can try e-mailing Full Tilt support and see if they can email you text files with your tournament results. I know other sites do but since Tilt automatically writes your results to your computer they may not . . . I still expect they should, though.
