Exception Occured updating the cache

Postby schreji » Mon Aug 25, 2008 10:55 am

I am getting the following error: "Unable to update cache. An exception has occurred", this happens shortly after I run HUD and the software begins to display information on the screen.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Jeff

With PAH not running, delete the 2 cache files. C:\Program Files\PokerAce Hud\Data\Temp\DBCachexxx.*
Then restart PAH and this will force a full rebuild of the cache.
If that doesn't work, use the 'repair database' option in PT2 Utilities menu and try again.

I tried deleting the caches and letting it rebuild...that did not fix it.

I will try repairing the database now and let you guys know how it goes!

I successfully repaired the database through PT2, however I am getting the same "unable to update cache. An exception has occurred"

I am running PAH 1.19.6 beta on Windows Vista and I am running PAH as administrator.

Any ideas? Let me know, I will troubleshoot.

The layout of the stats on the table is also incorrect. Even if I go into the layout manager and move things around, it will reload them in the incorrect places. I think the PAH is pulling config files from the wrong place or something.

Let me know if you have any ideas.

THanks,

Are you editting the correct site and table size? It's easy to change a 9-seat table when you mean 10, for example..
If you save the layout, close layout manager and re-open it does the saved layout load properly there?

Are you using Vista?
Are you running PAH as Administrator?

Yes, I am editing the 6 max table on FT, which is the same as the current game I am in. Also, I am sure to have the racetrack and avatar thing correct.

It is quite puzzling.

Please enable logging, reproduce the problem and send the PAHud.log file via the Support system so that we can review your configurations and troubleshoot the issue.
Tutorial: How to Create a Log File

Create a log file for one of the above problems and create a ticket for it.
Include the link to this topic in the reference field of the ticket so that we can link back here.
I have to go out for a bit now but I'll look at it later.

I tried making changes to the layout manager and saving them. I moved the stats into weird places on the table to be sure.

THe layout manager did not reflect these changes on the table, the changes were ignored by the table, but they still show up in the layout manager.

I have also noticed sometimes when i go to close PAH, I get the following error:

Error: Access voilation at ox77062086 (tried to read from 0xE0055C3b), program terminated.
