No errors in Housekeeping, but no cache

The housekeeping routine runs without error (about 30 mins on 100K hand database) but every time I launch Beta 16 it still says that the active database does not contain a populated cache. Any ideas? The HUD response is very slow almost to the point of unplayable as it causes me to time out frequently on Pokerstars.
