postgres and xp64

Postby RedBarracuda » Sat Mar 01, 2008 6:43 pm

Hi,

I've recently installed Windows XP64 and when trying to install postgresql as outlined here: [urluss]http://www.pokertracker.com/pgsqlinstall.html[/urluss] I get this error:
[imguss]http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2053/2303268678_e0306f5b9a_o.jpg[/imguss].

I am installing postgresql because I want to install PTv2 and import my database from my old computer. The site I need is not yet supported by PT3 so I am not installing it yet.

The error occurs when I use the [iuss]postgresql-8.2.msi[/iuss] installation file. Should I install postgresql 8.3 and then tweak what needs to be tweaked in order for it to work with PTv2 ?

Is this an insignificant error and I should just proceed with the installation?

Plz, help a n00b..

Go to the c:\windows\system32 folder. Do you see these 2 files mentioned in that error there? If so, rename them to something else, it really doesn't matter what and then reinstall PostgreSQL.
