Help with multiple databases

Postby Sasolini » Fri Oct 10, 2008 5:51 am

Im really new to PT so pls bear with me

I have a problem with multiple databases. I create one DB for my hands, one for observed hands and that work OK. Now i want to make another DB for observed hands and i dont know how to tell PT to import(i use manual form directory) observed hands in this new DB i just create?

How big can a DB be to still work pretty fast?

Manual import will import into the current 'Active' database, so use the Database menu to 'Set Active Database'.
The size of database that you can have is only really limited by your system, but there is no need to create new ones until you start to notice it slowing down.. We have some users with 5M+ hands in a single DB.

For cash games, look at the Summary tab. This isn't available yet for tournaments.
