Listing top individual losing hands (not by hand type)

Postby Cian » Fri Nov 14, 2008 9:43 am

Does anyone know how to view all your top losing hands on Pokertracker?

For example, if you play for a few hours and after you want to go over the hands you lost the most in. So there should be some way to list all the individual hands going from how much you lost/won.

I can only see how to do it according to hand type, but this requires clicking through every one not knowing where the big losers are.

ie, if in one session I make $100 with AA, that could be +$50, +$120 and - $70 (one of the ones I want to review), so viewing by hand type doesn't help me find those big losing hands.

Thanks
Cian

Go to the sessions tab, click on the session in question, and sort the Session Hands Detail report by "Amount Won" and that will show you the biggest individual hands by win/loss.

Yes but what if I have 20 sessions from playing 20 tables, and I want to look through the hands that I lost the most in. If my 20 biggest losing hands were spread out amongst 20 tables, it becomes pretty annoying to have to search for that through each session. In the old Pokertracker, you just had to go to a tab, and it showed you the last 100 hands, then you clicked 'Get all hands' or something, and then you could rank by Amount Won but not confined within a session.

If you're in Beta 20, you can double click sessions to filter for just those sessions. Or you can filter by date.

Once you have the filter set, go back to the hands tab, click on the drop down and select Final Hands, and then it'll just be 9 groups, by hand type, so there will be a lot less to look through. Click on a group, sort by amount won, and that should make things considerably easier.

Tried this but still, sooo much effort for a feature that I used to use all the time in the old PT. If I have 20 sessions, that means 20 double clicks (which results sometimes in a long load time to select that session - seriously, like 20 seconds or something), then I still have to manually click through the 9 hand types. It would be a lot easier if there was some way of viewing by biggest losers just with a couple of clicks like in the old PT.

The other option is to create a custom report that shows what you want.

Go to the reports tab, and you can add as much information as you'd like to the report, but you'll still need to do the filtering the same way.

But if you want to filter for your last 20 sessions and that was the last, say, month, if you click the Filters button at the top right, and choose "since a date" you can pick the date that way and filter for all sessions in that range to avoid having to double click 20 times.

But if for instance I did a big bluff on a busted flush draw or something, without making a pair. This doesn't qualify in the Final hands because it's <a pair, so even though I may have lost a lot in this hand I won't be able to review it conveniently.

I really think a simple way for viewing all hands played in one list according to Amount Won/Lost should be included in the next release.

If it's less than a pair it's High Card on the final hands report.

Ah yeah ;)

Well to avoid having to do the filtering and everything every time, it still would be nice to have the list attainable just by a 'get all hands' button to list every hand played in all sessions applicable.

I'm surprised other people haven't been asking for this too, I used to use that function in the old PT all the time after a losing session just to go through the big losing hands, see what I could have done better, make notes etc.

The thing is, if you just want to look at the last session, you can do that on the sessions tab.

I'm not sure why it hasn't been asked for; I'll make sure to make a note of it for the development team, but if you're looking for a single session you can do that much on the sessions tab.
