Postgres after re-installing PT

Postby muzzard » Thu Mar 13, 2008 10:38 pm

All my hand histories are gone :-( and all data lost for PT as I had to re-install on a partition. However postgres was on a seperate partition and the data seems still to be there and useable as weaktight is still picking it up. Weaktight converter can convert HH with PT data :-)

Anyone know if it possible to recover the data back into PT?

You need to reconfigure everything.

You need to add your settings back to the Utilities > PostgreSQL Settings window.

Then you need to use the FIle > Maintain Database Names window to add pointers to these databases. Click the Add button and in the last field choose "Select existing PostgreSQL database" from the list and select the db from the window that opens.

OK, I've done that.

But when I open the ring stats there are only the player names, no stats or anything.

Are you sure you don't have any filters set??

When you readded the pointer to the PostgreSQL database, what were the names of the databases that showed on the window that opened for you to pick from? Are you sure you selected the right one?
