Reinserting old data files into new data folder

Postby SCOD » Mon May 11, 2009 5:57 am

I unfortunately experienced the "Postgres suddenly doesn't feel like starting" error. Went through everything and attempted every fix that was available on the forums and anything that i thought may work from my general computer experiences. Unfortunately i had to uninstall Postgres in all forms (delete the data folder in the Postgres folder) and create a new database. Now things are all and dandy except i don't have my database (obviously) :P I created a copy of the data folder before i deleted it. Is there any way to "reinsert" my old data files (my old database basically) into the new one. Whenever i simply try to overwrite the entire data folder with the old one the issue begins again.

No, unfortunately that won't work with PostgreSQL. Do you still have your old hand histories in the C:\Program Files\PokerTracker 3\Processed folder? If so you can reimport those using the Manual Import From Directory button and that should import all of your data.

Oooh, completely forgot about those. It appears they date back to December last year which is about right :D

I need the simplicity of Access :P
Thanks kraada!
