Pt3 does not start any more

hello

about two month ago i bought and installed pt3.
from the beginning i had problems to start the programm .i had to click on the pt3 icon on the desktop one time ---than nothing happened and after a second click on the icon i usually got the message a version of pt3 is still running ----then after clicking the ok button pt3 has started ---and everything was working fine !
Yesterday i changed the the default and active database.
After starting the programm today ----pt3 was reading the database----pt3 simply switched itself off.

From that time it is not possible to open pt3. i click on the icon than i see the red and green logo ---than i click again on the icon ----then comes the message pt is already running ---but if i click the ok button ---NOTHING happens.
in the windows task manager i can see that NO pt programm is running!!
but in the process windows there are some poker tracker.exe and postgres. exe files

I am using win xp (german), and I am using Kaspersky Internet security 2009 ( but if I switch the kaspersky internet security off ---the problem with pt3 still exists )

WHAT SHALL I DO to solve that problem

i did that update and now it seems to work !!
at least the programm started and is updating my databases right now .........................
