WinLicense error

Postby jjyet » Mon Oct 12, 2009 8:48 pm

I just reinstalled PT3, because I got this error message before as well:

MsgBox Title: WinLicense -http://www.oreans.com

An internal exception occured (Address:0xdf1426)
Please contact support@oreans.com. Thank you!

any advice would be greatly appreciated.

That doesn't sound like it's related to PT3 directly, but that software looks like it is probably causing problems with our anti-piracy software. Software which has any operates at that level has potential to attempt to work around our security so PT3 won't run.
If you disable that software you should be able to run PT3 ok?

Some pieces of Sysinternals are known to cause these problems, but it's possible there are other programs out there that would cause it as well.

I have the same problem. After i installed windows 7.. The PT icon also has a windows shield on it. And no matter HOW i try to run it. as admin. Approved etc. etc. I get the same problem.

How do I search for theese sysinternals.? I can't really find out what they are excatly.

The Oreans software is our anti-piracy software - is that what is reporting the problem?
This is normally caused by running some debugging or cracking software of some kind. Please make sure anything like that is turned off and reboot your computer then try downloading PT3 again.

Yes it's say contact oreans support. But haven't received any answer.

I do not have any illegal software of any kind on this computer. it's a full edition of both office and windows full paid and everything. A full licenced MSC security center.

after I installede windows 7.. I installed and ran PT once. after that I had to approve it to run by some built in windows security. bacause PT wants to alter something on my computer. When i allow it. Then this winlince error pops up. I've disabled this function in windows and rebooted. No change in the error.

Sorry, I didn't mean to imply that you had any illegal software. This sort of problem can be caused by debugging applications for software development and that kind of thing as well.
I'll see if I can get someone from the development team to comment.

If you want to read about sysinternals, follow the link in Kraada's post.

Ah - what version of PT3 are you using?
If it's not Beta 30.7 try that instead. There have been some changes to our anti piracy software and you may find that works better.
