Three Questions

Postby Gentle Giant » Thu Apr 10, 2008 3:11 pm

1. Which version should I download as the trial version, the older one or the newer beta version?

2. Will the display work on UltimateBet in mini view?

3. Can I overlay the player icon and nothing more?

Thanks

  1. Download the latest beta version, 1.19 Beta 6
  2. Yes.
  3. Yes, in your layout manager, select UB and your table type (size) then select each stat that is displayed and uncheck 'Visible'. Then make sure that '(Player) Icon' is marked as 'visible'.

Try as I might, I cannot get the HUD to work in UB mini-view. I can can get some stuff displaying in some places, but not all players, and not where I want the icon displayed.

I should emphasise that I am talking about displaying in mini-view, not resized stretch and squeeze standard view.

I appreciate that mini-view is not conducive to displaying bucketloads of stats, but as I only want to display the icon it is not a problem. Call me old-fashioned, but having four or five stats per player when playing four or more tables seems like pointless information overload to me. The icon (using the revised McNish rules) gives me enough of a guide as to the kind of player I am up against.

I hope you can solve this problem for me, if not in the current version then at least in PT3. I am happy with PT2 + HUD, so don't really want to spend the extra, but if needs must...

Thanks

PokerAce Hud does not natively support mini-view tables. You will need to manually place your stats in the layout manager so that they are positioned over the correct location; otherwise you are only going to have a few stats displayed where they would be position on the full table view.

Are plans afoot for mini-view support at some point in the future?

Is there a template I can follow for stat/icon placements in the meantime? Will I have to manually place them each time I open a table to allow for different seat number placements?

Perhaps a disloyal question to ask here, but is anyone aware of a HUD that does support UltimateBet mini-view?

Thanks

I don't think any new features will be added to PAH now that PT3 is out with it's built-in HUD, though it will be supported for a good while yet.

You shouldn't need to move them for every time you play, you can edit a full-size table based and save it (as long as you don't want to play full size tables too). If you want to do both, make sure you export your existing layout to back it up before changing it. You could then make a mini-view layout and export that too so you could load between the 2.

's ok folks - I have cracked it.

It took a little time and patience, but I now have the mini-view displaying what I want (including table stats, and some player stats if I want them), as well as the mucked cards in the right positions.
