When I try to load pokertracker (this is firsts time to load) it does not ask me to install postgresql. It goes to the postgresql configure screen and when I click on connect it says that it is unable to connect.
I have a new 2.4 mac mini.

You can download and install PostgreSQL manually from this page - you want the top right Mac OS X link.
