PT hanging

Postby squeebo » Tue Nov 02, 2010 1:46 pm

PT worked great af first, but after around 100k hands it's now unbearably slow. I run housekeeping at the recommended intervals. I think the low performance is because on every refresh it has to refresh the tens of thousands of players on the player list. It seems like if that player list were removed from the display it would increase the performance dramatically.

The problem is frequently mid game I search for a player name in PT to look up their history, and in doing so PT hangs sometimes for 20 seconds or more, which also hangs Full Tilt, causing me to time out of all of my hands before it pulls up the player info and unfreezes Full Tilt. How can I avoid this?

Please report your problem so that we can investigate further - your log files should let us see where the delays are.

Did you solve your problem? You're right PT3 is slow to update the list of player. I have 58k player in the list and it takes 5 to 10 secondes.

There are plans to make the Player List display optional, but I don't have a timescale for this yet.

It can be a good thing. It will be a great performance improvement. I never use the list of player. Let us know in which version you do it (if you do it).
