Open 'My Computer', browse to your Program Files directory and delete the directory named 'PostgreSQL'. Then try reinstalling...

I'm having a similar problem but when I try to delete the PostgreSQL folder in my Program files it says, "Cannont delete file, make sure disc is not right protected or in use".

I have no programs running when I tried this and restarted the computer and tried again with no luck.

Should I uninstall PT3 then try again with the delete?

Thanks

Go Start->Run, 'msconfig' OK to open your System Configuration window. Under the 'Boot' tab, check 'Safe boot' and 'Network'. Apply->OK. Now restart your computer into safe mode.

In safe mode, open 'My Computer' and delete your PostgreSQL directory.

Boot back into normal mode by repeating the above steps but this time unchecking 'Safe boot'. When back in normal mode, proceed to reinstall.
