How did you install PostgreSQL? Did PT3 install it for you or did you install it manually, or was it already installed?

When you followed the tutorial to remove the need for passwords, did you remove the # from the start of any lines you changed, and save the file OK so that you still see your changes if you re-open it?

I meant how did you install PostgreSQL in the first place? If you already had PT3 on your computer then PostgreSQL must have already been installed.

You need to remove the #. The # means that the line is ignored.
Also make sure that you restart the PostgreSQL server after you save your changes (or reboot).

If PT3 installed PostgreSQL for you then the password will be dbpass. There is also a PostgreSQL service password, which is "svcPASS83", but I wouldn't expect that to be needed - try it, though.

Other than that the method for removing the need for passwords does work.
If you're still having problems please attach the config file you have edited to a Support ticket and include a link to this thread so that we can check your settings.

After you change the PostgreSQL config file you need to save it and then restart the PostgreSQL service - changes in the file will not make any difference until the service has been restarted.
