Export hand history

Postby Kesky » Fri Mar 02, 2012 3:01 pm

Hi.

I think it would be good to have an option to export hand histories as single txt formats. What I mean is that in the "Playe Poker" tab there already is an option to export hand histories, but PT4 saves them as on txt file.

I usually grind sessions on my "big" computer, mark hands during play, and review those hands on my laptop, and it would be easier if there was an option to export HH as single txt files.

Also, i think it be cool if we could edit the tags of the marked hands. Maybe this already is an option, but I figured that it wouldn't be bad to request that feature as well.

All in all, I love the look, the feel and the functionality of the product, and am very pleased with it. You guys did a great job.

If you highlight multiple hands (via shift+click or control+click) you should be able to export multiple hands at once via the right click menu and I believe those should go to a single file - is that not what you see?

To configure the tag names and icons click Configure --> Tags and that will allow you to add new tags, edit the names of the existing tags or delete tags as you desire.

Yeah. I just figured it would be cool to have the option to slect multiple hands and have PT4 export them as multiple files. Let's say I select four hands, and PT4 exports them as txt file named "1", "2", "3", "4". makes it easier for review purposes.

It's an interesting suggestion but since you'd have no way of remembering necessarily which hand was in the text file 2 a few days later I am not certain if it would be as convenient as it sounds for you.

Yeah, no biggie. Definitely not a deal breaker of any kind. It would just be very useful for me, maybe not for the majority of guys using the product.

Hi all im new to pt4 and I am trying to export my hh as text file to a website so they can anaylize them. I sent them what i thought was it but it was in the wrong format. How do I export my hh. Here is what they sent me.

The uploaded database was in a wrong format. Only .TXT formats are suitable for an analysis.

We kindly ask you to export the database in .TXT format, archive obtained files and upload using our website. We will gladly do the analysis then.

I do not know what they mean

If you want to send all of your hand histories the easiest thing will be to send the original hand history files.
(By default the original hand history files will have been moved to the Processed folder, which you can access via File > Open User Data Folder in the PT4 menu.)

However if you need to export, or you only want to send part of your data, check out this guide - Tutorial: Exporting Sessions.
You can export individual, or small groups, of hands by selecting them then right clicking and choosing Export Hand(s).
