Graph, first values of av.ROI spoil the range

Postby kuafas » Fri Apr 06, 2012 5:06 pm

Hello!

If I want to graph average ROI, then I would like the Y axis to have meaningful range (something like 0% - 15%), however if I have lost the very first tourney, the range will start from -100%, making the ROI graph completely non-aesthetic.

I see two possible solutions for this. One is to have the possibility to override the default range. Another would be to have the possibility to set how many first values of a stat not to draw.

If you set the ROI to display as a rolling average then the graph won't start drawing until the number of tournaments which you specify - that should even the graph out a bit for you.

Yes, but the stat that is drawn is something different - it is the average ROI of the last N tournaments not the average of all past tournaments.

The stat I want to see (average of all past tournaments):

The stat I can get in this way (average of last 10 tournaments):

Thanks for the clarification - I will discuss this with the development team.

If you enable Trails without the MA I think you will get the desired result.
[edit]actually this won't solve the problem in the 1st post. I see what you mean and I will have to give some thought about a good solution.

Hi,
is there a solution of the problem described by kuafas - also for the graph on the "result" tab with ROI checked?
What about an option: "calculate ROI after ... tournaments"?

Setting the moving average higher will smooth things out more and give you a more compressed graph.
