Popups are queried on demand (when opened the first time) to avoid causing delays for on-table stats.
The development team are aware of this issue but I will pass on your concerns.

To make that happen you'll want to first backup your database via File -> Backup in PT4. Uninstall 8.3 and install 9.0-x64 from this link then use File -> Restore in PT4 to restore your database into 9.0.
You should see some improvement in responsiveness with that upgrade given your system, though exactly how much you'll see is still difficult to say; how large is your database and what kind of hard drive do you have?
kraada wrote:You're seeing 7 seconds for things to populate on an SSD? Something doesn't sound right there. Upgrading to 9.0-x64 will still help of course but I'm surprised at what you're reporting. Would you please restart PT4 using the Logging Enabled link on your Start Menu and reproduce this delay. Then please send us the PokerTracker4.log file via a support ticket so that we can investigate this further for you. You can find this file by clicking File -> Open User Data Folder in the main PT4 window. The file we need is the text file called PokerTracker that's in the folder that appears.
kraada wrote:Custom stats definitely push things a lot harder. I'd still say going for 9.0-x64 is worthwhile - if you end up later deciding you want to upgrade your hardware that can help too, but you might as well make this change now and see what it gets you. It'll only cost you some time.
