Live Import from a Folder...

Hello.

I have a folder from a hand grabbing software that i would like to live import from so that when selecting a player the hands would update with each hands that goes down.

If i add an import folder for this hand grabbing software together with the import folder on that site, nothing happens.

The HUD doesn't update and if i select a player he still has the same amount of hands.

How is this done properly?

Please check that the handgrabber you're using is approved by your site - this may be against your site's terms and conditions. While we do not prohibit you from importing observed hands like this we do not modify our software in any way to support this type of activity.

That said, if the hands are in the same format as real hand histories and are in a folder that PT4 has access to they should import. Try writing the hands to a different folder.

It is legal both from the poker site and the software itself is legal to purchase.

That said, i don't see why a change of folder would change anything. I assume it's a different problem here but ok i'll try it first.

The change of folder didn't help.

I added a folder to Configure/Sites & Import Options/That Site/Add...

It doesn't import anything, even though the hands get saved to that directory. The HUD also doesn't load, and ofcourse the hands on a particular player don't progress in the View Stats.

The same process done in HEM2 works fine.

So there must some other thing here that either i'm missing or the PT4 doesn't register.

What software are you using?
What site is it for?
What folder are the hands being written to?

It shouldn't really make a difference, but try using:

C:\Pacific IdleMiner/Hand History

..instead and see if that works?

If not:
Are the hand history files being recognized at all? i.e. Do you see them listed in the import status window when a new file is written?

Do the hands import if you use Get Hands From Disk?

@kraada - yes they do import from a folder with Get Hands

@ WhiteRider - the live import from that or 3 other folders i've tried does not work at all - therefore i can't see a progression of hands from a particular player.

Btw at that moment when i want to look on someone all i can see is a static number of hands that i did previously (Get Hands).


For instance in HEM2 if i do this, i can see just a hand later or 10 hands later the number of hands someone has (it increases and ofcourse the stats change). And when i do this i don't need to play at that table at all.

If you report your problem we'll check your logs to see if that indicates the problem. Please include a link to this thread as a reference.
