Problem with old database

Postby Ftw17 » Fri Mar 15, 2013 4:37 pm

Im a member of a few homegames on Pokerstars where i regularly play at. Now i've had PT3 for quite some time now. Maybe about a year or so. Now most ppl that play in these homegames i have built up pretty decent sample sizes. Most are over 1.5k+ and even some having around 3k+. Now when i got PT4 when it was released for Mac, i was under the assumption that when i transfer over my old PT3 database to my PT4 client, that all the old hands and even stat numbers would transfer over. I have played a 2-3 games at the homegames and noticed that all of the players i had large sample sizes on are all at 0 now and are restarting from fresh.

Is there anyway i can get my PT4 HUD to show the stat #'s i had from my old PT3. It would suck if i had to rebuild all the stats from 0 when i had like atleast 1.5k+ hands on everyone. If there is a way please let me know. ANy help would be tremendously appreciated!

Did you convert your PT3 database over? If you did the stats should have come with it. You can convert it again if you didn't by going to Tools -> Setup Assistant -> Convert PT3 Database.

Im pretty sure i did. It's weird because all the names from my old database comes up when im in the View Stats-Player Summary, but none of the HUD numbers or hand amount come in. Im going to try and convert again and if it doesn't work i will post here again. Thanks for the help!

Sadly after 3+ hours waiting for it to converge, it still is the same. None of the older stats and hand numbers transfered over to PT4. Why is this happening? I really don't wanna have to rebuild the hands on players in my small homegames when i had like thounsands of hands on them already. It's gonna take way too long.

I went to setup assistant, then convert PT3. Waited 3+ hours and nothing changed. How can i search a player in my database and see all the hands i have tracked on them. Maybe im not finding them in my database or something.

The easiest way to see data on other players is to choose the Player Summary report on the Results page. If you still don't see data on these players, please send us one of the hand history files via a support ticket and link to this thread and we'll test the conversion on it ourselves to see where the problem is.

There's nothing to mess up. Go to the View Stats page and choose the Results page. In the left hand sidebar where it says Report, click on the drop down and choose Player Summary. Now you're seeing a list of all players in the database and their stats and you can configure the stats via right click -> Configure Report (double click a stat in the list on the left to add it, double click a stat from the right to remove it and click Restore to Defaults if you ever want to start it back at the beginning again).

If you click Configure -> Sites & Import Options and go to the Preferences page there there is a folder listed. If you click start, type in that folder and click on it all of your hand history files that PT4 has imported will be in there.
