Alias improvement and Player filters for advanced use.

Hello,

Id like to suggest (and as im a PT4 user, I really desire myself) improvements to the alias system as well as the filtering functions for players.


Ill start with describing an example of what id like to do:
Id like to be able to create custom player entrys into my database of players and use a player tab where I can filter for players and possibly ad them all under one of my custom alias.
Id like to create a custom alias called "Nit", filter for players with 1000+ hands etc and nitty stats and add them all under my Nit alias. Now ill be able to investigate not only how this type of player is doing compared to the other player types id create generally, but ill also be able to dig into my player types and investigate on average how they play in certain situations. This will help me when I get a new player at my tables and lets say I play ~300 hands with this player and a situation comes up.
Now lets say he has nitty 14-11 stats and ive been able to investigate what nitty players in general would do with their different type of hands in this given situation then this would be of great benefit to me.
Also this is useful not only for new players but maybe a player ive played alot with but still is uncertain about some situations, ill be able to apply what ive learned his player type generally do. Also "generally" is more specifically in my exact games.



So the first suggestion is to add "custom" entrys into the player/alias database.

1, This will solve a problem I have with the current system where im attaching usernames under one existing username (not a custom made one). Lets say I pick my pokerstars username and attach my other sites usernames under that. I can no longer view my Pokerstars statistics individually (I will be able to do so for the other ones still.).

2, It will let me group big bunch of users under one custom entry with a name of my choosing so that I can investigate player types etc and alot of other usefull things.



Also id like improvements to the "Player Summary" tab.

1, First of all its only available under the Results section, id like it available under Statistics aswell

2, It has no kind of filters available for listing players while it seems this could be very usefull. Alternatively the "My Reports" section possibly could be used for filtering players but I simply havent got enough experience with that section yet to know.

3, I can not hold shift/ctrl and select multiple entrys in the players summary tab. Idealy id like to be able to select multiple ones and just right-click > add to custom alias entry or something like that.



Im a huge pokertracker fan/lover and ive used pokertracker as my database tool since I started playing poker. I love it and ill probably always use it!

I understand what you're trying to do and we have some features planned that will improve your ability to do exactly what you want, but it will be some time before they are ready as they are not small changes.
