Session time

Postby tonixart » Mon Mar 23, 2015 5:25 pm

Hello! Can't find information about how PT4 understands when cash game session is over, and new one is started? I ask it because I play many short sessions, and PT4 thinks that it is one big session, so total time that I have played in PT4 is much bigger that real.

PT4 counts it as a new session when there is a break of more than 30 minutes.

Thank you! So if i play short sessions with short breaks(~20/20 minutes), there is no way to know real time i actually played for?

No. If you're looking at your realtime winrate for example, then you need to include short breaks in those calculations as they are an integral part of your playing schedule.

Who have decided that? It should be my decision, what include and what exclude. Just another software design mistake.

30 minutes is based on the time that most of the big poker sites use to determine a session within which you can't return to the same table with less money than you left it with (to prevent "rat-holing"). I will pass on your concerns to the development team though.

Oh, I see, thank you.
But in Zoom, which i play, it seems a bit weird.

I have reminded the development team about this but it isn't as simple a change as it sounds - it may be made configurable at some point in the future, but I don't expect to see it in the short term.
