Pokerstars TournamentSummary import fails

Postby SunnyTomcat » Sat May 24, 2008 4:50 am

Trying to use the function "Auto request tournament summaries" for PokerSars, after clicking on "Request Now" I only get the error message:
"PokerStars client must be running and you must be logged in using this feature". Client is running and I'm logged in, lobby is shown. I tried to open PS first and then PT, and then PT first - but did not have any effect.
I have installed PT 2.17.02a.

Are you using Vista? This function doesn't work on Vista.

No, using XP SP2, latest Win patches installed
(instead of SP3 - did it on an other computer which caused problems, e. g. further Win updates did not install    )

It works perfectly fine for me and nobody else has reported any problems.

Are you sure you have the latest Stars client?

What does the title bar of the PokerStars lobby window say?

Do you have any programs running that would cause PT and PokerStars from communicating with each other?

Client version 2.491.
I tried with closing ZoneAlarm before, but this does not seems to cause the problem. I have only firefox 2.0.0.14 and PokerStars running. Can Avira Antivirus cause problems? I don't think so, I get the same when it's deactivated.

May this being caused by user rights? I'm working with power user rights on my computer, not with administrator rights.

PT is looking at your open windows looking for the PokerStars window and checking the title bar to see if it says you are logged in. What does the PokerStars title bar say exactly? Leave out the player name. If it says you are logged in, I don't know what else would be preventing it from just checking to see what windows are running. I doubt it would be a permissions issue.

That's why! I had running it in German. It's caused by the language.
I didn't expect that PT reads the text of the title bar to check if you're logged in.

Thanks for the help. Import is running now.
