Blue Screen Of Death

Postby DallasMackDaddy » Mon Jun 09, 2008 5:58 pm

I installed PT3 on my laptop and for 2 weeks it worked perfectly. Then on Friday I got the blue screen of death. Dead computer.

SO I installed it on my desktop and 4 days later I get the blue screen of death. Has anybody else run into this problem?

Thanks

bsod's are invariably hardware or driver relelated - i would very much doubt if this anything to do with pt or postgres.

suggest you google the stop and look at things like: memory, thermal, psu, video cards, changed device drivers.

all of you that reckon you have bsod's specifically when running pt; please post the stop back in this thread.

use this sort of format:

Stop 0x0000001e (c000009a 80123f36 02000000 00000246)
Unhandled Kernel exception c000009a from 8123f26
Address 80123f36 has base at 80100000 - ntoskrnl.exe

the actual stop and the address and faulting module are key to post up.

as detailed here: http://www.mvps.org/marksxp/WindowsXP/bsod.php

please also detail what operating system and what exactly in pt you were doing when it blue screened...

it says:

stop: 0x000000ED (0x89C13300,0xC000009C, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)

hope that helps.

Any suggestions from Poker Tracker as to what I should do so I can use PT3?

Josh thinks he's fixed this issue, and a new beta should be out soon (within the next couple of days).

Is the May 15th version still available for download? I was able to get my computer going again by uninstalling PT3 in safe mode but the uninstall didn't complete and now my computer is slow (takes 15 mins to boot up). I talked to someone who said I should reinstall the old version and then completely uninstall it now that I can run without safe mode.

SO is it still available?
