Trouble after update...

Postby cudd517 » Fri Jul 04, 2008 9:33 pm

Recently updated my pokertracker like I was supposed to . Now it is ver 3 build 2. I did as instructed and downlaoded the version without Postgres and saved over it. However, I seemed to have lost all of my old hands. After messing around with it to try and get them back I made things worst and somehow lost my current database. I somehow got back and older one from before the update to the original release (all the hands are from 5/13-5/15). I was content with perhaps having to lose a month or two of data but now everytime I open it it is telling me I may have problems since this is and old outdated database (which it is). How can I find my other databases or make a new one and import all my missing hands? Sorry, I really am quite clueless when it comes to postgres stuff and databases. I do have the Pokertracker with postgres installed.

Hi pt3 worked fine with build 2. Now I updated to beta 14 because of the tabletracker support for pokerstars.
Now the hud isn´t working unstable. Whenever I open a new table on pokerstars, the hud doesnt recognize it. Sometimes it just disappears :(

Did you run the new installer that you downloaded? You can't just save it to the PT3 folder - you must save it somewhere else then run it to install the new version.
To connect to old databases, you use Database -> Database Management. Click New, then enable the 'this database already exists' option and browse to find the one you want.
Those out of date DBs can't be used in PT3, but you can export all the hands from them (Export button on DB management screen) then re-import into a newly created DB.

Does the HUD work for you sometimes but not others, or does it never work?
Do you have hands importing correctly when it doesn't work?

How do you get a refund for this defective product?

All right. I renewed my hud options by renaming Layouts.pt3 to Layouts.backup ->restart PT3 and make the HUD settings new. I know, I know but it only takes a view minutes and it solved my HUD problems :D

btw this tip is from Joe [edit: Josh] mentioned on the same date Beta 14 came out, viewtopic.php?f=16&t=6916.

People with the same experience, plz tell other people in this forum!

Glad that helps you, but to help us work out what the problem with your configured layout is, please attach the layouts.pt3 file you renamed (i.e. the broken one that you are no longer using) to our Support system , and link to this thread, as it says in that post you linked.
